  • Wager Description :
  • If a horse is scratched, all win/place/show wagers will be refunded by and the portion of the exacta/trifecta/superfecta/quinella combos that contain the scratched horse will be refunded.
  • For horse racing bettingDaily Doubles, if a horse is scratched before the 2nd leg, a consolation will be paid on that combo, as specified by the horse racing tracks payouts.
  • A "Win" bet is just what it sounds like: horse racing bettingthat the horse a gambler picks will win the race. The gambler wins if the horse wins.
  • For a gambler’s horse to "Place" it must finish the race either first or second. This horse racing wager generally pays less than the win bet but it gives the gambler two chances to win instead of just one.
  • For a horse to "Show" it must finish the race either first, second or third. This horse racing wager generally pays less than either the win or place bet, but it gives the gambler three chances to get a return on their investment.
  • Across the Board is a quick way to say that a gambler wants to place wagers on a horse to finish in any of the first three positions etc. ($2 Across The Board = $2 to win, $2 to place, and $2 to show). If the horse wins the gambler collect all three bets. If the horse finishes 2nd then the gambler collects the place and show bets. If the horse finishes 3rd then the gambler will only collect the show bet.
  • This is always fun to do when a gambler is at the track with a group of friends. Each gambler contributes to the pool of sports betting money (i.e. $5). The gamblers elect a captain to make the wager. Everyone horse racing bettinggets to vote for their choice of the horse to show. The captain places the bet on the horse that gets the most votes. If the horse finishes in the top three positions the horse racing gamblers add the winnings to the pool of sports betting money and select another race to do the same thing.
  • In the Quinella, the gambler must pick the horses that finish first and second. Either one can be first and the other one second. This type of horse racing bettingfunctions exactly the same as the "Exacta Box". Although the Quinella has the same function as the "Exacta Box" the payoff can vary substantially. The horse racing bettinggambler must remember that there is no such wager of an exacta box it is really two separate bets on one ticket. The Quinella wagers are entered into their own pool separate from the exacta pool. Not all tracks offer the Quinella wager, but to the best of knowledge all tracks accept the term exacta box where ever the exacta wager is offered. If both the Quinella and Exacta wagers are offered it is wise to check the tote board before horse racing bettingon a Quinella or Exact Box wager to see which one offers the greater payoff.
  • With the Trifecta bet the gambler must pick the first three finishing horses in the order of their finish. The simplest form of this horse racing bettingis the Straight Trifecta, which is a single combination of the first three finishers. The minimum wager for a Straight Trifecta is $2. To purchase, simply tell the clerk: "$2 Trifecta on 1-2-3." A Trifecta is not offered in all races at all tracks (refer to program).
  • The daily double involves horse racing bettingthe winning horse in two consecutive races. All tracks offer the early daily double which involves races #1 and #2. Most tracks also offer a late daily double which is the last two races of the day. Some tracks also offer a rolling daily double which is on any two consecutive races. To win a horse racing bettingdaily double the gambler must pick the winning horse in each of the two races. Combination bets can also be made on daily doubles.
  • When a gambler is confident of a horse winning either of these two races but are uncertain of the outcome of the other sports book horse race, especially if the horse in which the gambler is confident has good to excellent odds, the gambler might want to consider horse racing bettingon the daily double wheel. This is a horse racing wager on a gamblers key horse with all the horses in the other race. The gamblers key horse might be in either of the two races. Tell the clerk EX. ($2 Daily Double wheel the 5 with all) if the gambler is confident in the #5 horse winning the first of the two races. But if the gamblers key horse is the #3 in the second of the two races tell the clerk i.e. ($2 Daily Double wheel all with 3).
  • also offers several other variations on horse racing bettingincluding boxes, wheels, doubles and daily doubles.
  • Minimum Deposit : $20.00
    Min and Max Wagers :
  • Online - $1
  • Telephone - $50
  • There is no umbrella on the maximum horse racing betting wager

    Sports.com Virtual Horse Racing Horsebook

Sports.com is a top sportsbook for seasoned horse racing betting gamblers. Sports.com offers several North American horse racing betting tracks to wager on. The way Sports.com horse racing betting works is telephone horse racing betting and Sports.com online horse racing betting. Both minimum and maximum horse racing betting options are different, but the horse racing sportsbook tracks are the same. For example, over the Sports.com telephone, gamblers can place a minimum horse racing bet for $50. Online at Sports.com the minimum horse racing wager is $1. The maximum horse racing bet over the phone is $50,000. The maximum horse racing bet at the Sports.com website is $3,000.

Sports.com offers horse racing betting for a minimum of $1 online at the Sports.com website. The offline minimum Sports.com horse racing bet is $50. However, Sports.com is the first sportsbook sports betting website I've seen that differentiates between online sports betting and offline sports betting.

Sports.com offers gamblers very detailed account reporting, including sports betting history separated by sportsbook, how much was wagered, how much the gambler won and current bonus and deposited balance. The detailed reporting provided by Sports.com makes sports betting that much easier, especially if a gambler wants to withdraw funds from their sportsbook account.
